Policy review

Why appoint a broker if you have not reviewed your insurance policies for several years?

Check how well your existing insurance reflects changes in your business and its risks.

Your company probably operates differently today than it did several years ago. You may have purchased new equipment, expanded your activities, increased stock or taken on new contractual obligations. If insurance has been renewed without a detailed review in the meantime, it is worth checking how well your existing policies meet your current business needs.

In a dynamic business environment, risk exposures change and become more complex. Digitalisation, reliance on suppliers and external service providers, and increasingly complex contractual relationships raise questions that may not previously have been priorities. Cyber incidents, data loss, business interruption and third-party liability can have significant consequences and should be considered when reviewing insurance.

Having a valid policy does not mean that every important risk is covered or that sums insured, limits and other terms remain appropriate. Existing cover may not automatically include new risks. Differences often become apparent only after a loss occurs.

This is why a broker’s role matters: to review changes in your business with you, identify questions that need attention and explore insurance options. The aim is to help you understand what is insured, on what terms and where there may be scope to improve cover or costs.

Status Broker reviews policies and proposals, explains differences and recommends next steps. You make the final decision, supported by professional advice and a clearer view of the protection for your business.
